Meet Our Team

Dr. Jeni Knizley is the staff veterinarian at South Alabama Spay and Neuter Center.  She was born and raised in Mobile, AL and a graduate of St. Paul's Episcopal School.  Dr. Knizley attended Mississippi State University for her undergraduate course work and completed her DVM from there in 2005.  Dr. Knizley's life long desire was to be a veterinarian and is so happy she gets to realize this dream daily.  Pet overpopulation is a significant problem locally and nationally.  Our shelters are overcrowded and we see still see strays on the streets daily.  Dr. Knizley strives to make a difference through offering an affordable public service and working with the shelters to help the homeless.  Dr. Knizley has 3 dogs: Heidi, a Great Pyrenees, Isaiah, a Golden Retriever, and Knight, a mutt who helps out daily at the office.  She also has 2 cats, W-2 and Evi.  Of course, all of her pets are rescues!

Alice Grayson is the office manager and a skilled technician at South Alabama Spay and Neuter Center.  She is a Mobile native and a graduate of Murphy High School.  Alice has 2 chihuahuas, and a chow mix.  Alice is also a talented musician and is the drummer for the Wes Loper Band.

Rachel Leard is head technician at South Alabama Spay and Neuter Center.  She is a Mobile native and graduate of Murphy High School.  Rachel has worked in the veterinary field for over 3 years.  Rachel enjoys agility training and competition with her 4 Border Collies.
